Vinayak works as the head of the project management office for one of the largest private insurance companies in India. He has 12 years of work experience, 10 years of which was in information technology and management consulting in the capacity of program manager, team leader, functional consultant and pre-sales consultant. As a program manager, Vinayak has evaluated, prioritized and executed IT initiatives. As a functional consultant and team leader, Vinayak led and executed ERP (PeopleSoft, SAP, and Baan) and process improvement assignments in industries such as retail, pharmaceuticals, textiles, automobiles, insurance, and banking. As pre-sales consultant, Vinayak led pre-sales team for a multi-national software vendor supporting business development and sales functions in India and Singapore.

Vinayak is a student of business process management and believes in "business process" as a management philosophy that can bring about corporate excellence.

Vinayak has an MBA in finance and a bachelor of engineering from the University of Mumbai (Bombay University), India.
